Viscom/Art

In Viscom, Year 7s are currently doing Print Making.

We first started with foam block Prints! Here Are some Steps To Make A Successful Foam Block.

Step 1 : Find A foam block and draw a design on it with a blunt pencil. the more lines the better it looks.

Step 2 : Choose a colour that you want to print first ( the first  print colour that we did was a light colour and worked our way to darker colours ).

Step 3 : roll your choosen colour onto your foam block and print it on a blank piece of paper. use a baron to push it on the piece of paper.

Step 4 : Wait for the print to dry and choose the next colour ( choose a colour like red or orange or something darker than your first print )

Step 5 : do the same thing as step three except print your next colour on top of the first print.

Step 6 : do the same thing as step 3 & four.

Step 7 : once that art work is dry you can hang it up or mount it on some black paper. This is my art work

Fishing Trip

Posted in Uncategorized on May 21, 2008 by mrcricket

One day Dad and I went fishing in the Murray River and we caught 3 fish. Dad and I always went fishing together. The fish we caught were cod. One cod was 38cm and the other two were just over 30cm.

To weeks later dad and I went overseas to Canada. We were catching fish 75cm long and weighing 2kg.

One day when we were in Canada we went on a fishing cruise and you were allowed to take home what ever fish you caught. When the cruise ship anchored dad cast out his rod and caught a 40cm snapper.

When we got back to shore Dad had a bucket load of snapper that were all over 30cm. When Dad and I were walking to the pub we saw a friend of mine and his name was Nathan. He lived back in Warrnambool near my house.

Later that day Nathan came to the Motel and we played footy for a bit. When Nathan and I were coming inside a few kids came out and said they could beat us. When we started I grabbed the ball and thumped it to Nathan. Nathan got caught behind but Nathan leaped, took the best mark I have ever seen.

The next day Nathan and I went home on the same plane with our parents.

My Speech for Hawkesdale College

Posted in Uncategorized on May 20, 2008 by mrcricket

I came to Hawkesdale College because all the students are friendly and nice. I also like all the facilities at Hawkesdale College. They are amazing. Hawkesdale has a big, well equipped stadium and we get Phys Ed twice a week. There is also tennis courts which are really good to play on because they have recently been resurfaced with turf. We have  two computer rooms, a wood work room, cooking room, systems shed (metal work) in year nine up.

In year 7 you can go on a camp to Rose’s Gap.In year 8 you can go on a camp to Camp Cooriemungle. In year 9 and 10 you can go on a camp to Tasmania and the snow. You can go to china in year nine or up but if there isn’t enough students it is opened up to year 7 and up.

Im really happy to come Hawkesdale College, all the students are friendly and you know most of the students and staff. the staff are relly nice and arnt very mean.

The Lake

Posted in Uncategorized on May 18, 2008 by mrcricket

One day my Brother and I went out fishing in the Lake. There was a Massive Fish in the Lake and James and I tried to catch it. Someone had caught the Fish before but it jumped out of their boat. They had tried to catch the fish again and the fish pulled the boat under. The two drowned. The people who had caught it before named the fish Jack water.

For the next couple of weeks James and I kept trying to catch Jack water. Finally James got a bite and tied it to a crane. The crane pulled it out of the water. James and I ran and started bashing it in the face so it was half dead. Then two people who were married walked past and waved, so James and I waved back, the couples names were Benjamin and Alex. When James and I turned around the fish got off the hook and had swam away.

James was losing his temper with this fish, so James and I took the shotguns to the Lake. James threw some bread in the water and waited. Suddenly the fish jumped out of the water and James shot it twice in the head and nothing happened.

The Spirit of Tasmania was a big Cruise ship that had 1000 people on it. It parked in the Lake instead of the big pier. Mikey went to go see the Spirit of Tasmania and the Fish came back. The fish smashed the ship and everyone died that was on the ship. The ship was wrecked.

James went and saw the army and stole a bazooka and 2 bullets. James got back and went to the Lake. He had one shot at the Fish and missed. The bullet went for another 40 kms and hit a big building. James had another shot and blew the whole fish up.

I like coming to Hawkesdale College because there is a Stadium and it is a lot of fun to play inside. Some of the games we play are netball, basketball, dodge ball, soccer and badminton.

I like Hawkesdale because we grow our own vegetables in our Veggie garden. Some of the vegetables we grow are pumpkin, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, carrots and peas.

When I wake up in the morning I feel like I am going to have a good day because I have friends that are supportive at school.
